IoT Client & Server Functionality

Errigal’s technology uses the LLRP messaging protocol to communicate with IoT routers and their attached RF edge devices, which enables near real-time visibility of metering and other assets and the integration of external data from other sources. The server-based application is able to both collect client data and to send commands directly to clients such as edge devices.

  • Retrieve LLRP Commands from management server and relay them to RFID reader end device
  • Support interfaces over Ethernet/TCP to communicate with RFID reader end device
  • Collect RFID tag data on regular intervals and store them for later retrieval
  • Check health metrics of RFID reader end device such as connectivity and reader status
  • Automatically start relevant RO Spec on the attached reader if configured to do so
  • Provide ability to send LLRP Commands over AMI Network to Client per IEEE 2030.5.
